Every guy who enjoys the outdoors loves being able to start a fire & being able to use a Ferrocerium Rod (Ferro Rod for short) is not only very practical for the outdoorsman but also just plain cool. What I love about having a couple of these 1/2” thick by 6” long ferro rods is they are easy to start fires with & lasts for approx. 12,000 strikes a piece! Be prepared! Every man needs to know how to handle basic trauma care & it helps to have the proper gear on hand to save a life! North American Rescue makes top of the line trauma gear, these chest seals come in a 2 pack God forbid your man needs to plug an entry & exit wound for himself or someone else, these also allow pressure to exit but not enter so the injured person can breathe properly, you cannot have too many of these in your kit & I always keep at least 1 set on me.

The absolute best bang for your buck when it comes to a fixed blade knife is without a doubt the Mora, I prefer this one which is the HD Companion bc it’s slightly thicker which makes it even more durable than it already is & I like that for bush crafting/camping. Also, you can use the back spine of the knife as a striker for your Ferro Rod!

Energy Drinks are bulky, expensive, & typically loaded with ingredients not everyone wants to have too often… While I do enjoy energy drinks I prefer to get my caffeine from Caffeine Pills as they’re typically 10 cents for 200 mg vs $3.00, the best part is they last for years, cost very little, take up minimal space & weight, and I keep a little pill fob for emergencies on my keychain to be safe on long drives.
Another advantageous piece of trauma care gear is an Israeli bandage, I carry these in my EDC Kit and highly recommend getting this specific style which has proven itself for many many years.
